Our vision is that all children, families, and adults in Detroit have equitable access to the opportunities, instruction, and resources they need in order to develop literacy and grade-level reading as tools for self-determination, economic stability, whole human health, and engaging fully as agents of change in a democratic society. Our vision is literacy as liberation. In order to reach this bold vision, all those who serve children will have equitable access to what they need to make this a reality.
